SPECIAL GUEST: LAFD Fire Chief Crowley
Kristin M. Crowley took the oath of office on March 25, 2022, becoming the 19th Fire Chief of the LAFD to lead approximately 3,400 sworn and more than 350 civilians in protecting four million people in Los Angeles. As a 22-year veteran of the LAFD, Chief Crowley has served as a Firefighter, Paramedic, Engineer, Fire Inspector, Captain I, Captain II, Battalion Chief, Assistant Chief, Deputy Chief, Chief Deputy, and now Fire Chief. She has gained valuable experience in both field assignments on emergency apparatus and administrative duty in multiple areas within the Department. Before her appointment, she served as a Chief Officer for nine years as the Commander of Battalion 13 (South Los Angeles), Battalion 6 (San Pedro), and several other assignments.
Recognition Presentation for Photo Book Contributors
UFLAC has been producing the LAFD Year in Review Photo Book publication for the last 10 years. It is distributed to elected officials, key city staff, civic and labor leaders throughout the country, and each LAFD work location in our continuing effort to educate decision-makers and stakeholders about the critical work of our Firefighters. This book has proven to be extremely helpful in supporting our advocacy efforts in the City of Los Angeles.
At the General Membership Meeting, we will be recognizing the talented photographers and individuals from the Department who have contributed their outstanding work to this publication. We appreciate all of their efforts and want to take a moment to show our gratitude and honor their contributions.
Please stay after the meeting to join us for a casual breakfast with the photographers, members of the Department, and Chief Crowley.
